WE RECOMMEND EXFOLIATING THE AREA THAT WILL BE WAXED FOR A FEW DAYS LEADING UP TO YOUR APPOINTMENT. ON THE DAY OF, MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THE AREA, BUT MAKE SURE TO AVOID HEAVY LOTIONS OR OILS.
CLEAN, DRY, EXFOLIATED SKIN IS THE BEST SKIN FOR WAXING. WE ALSO RECOMMEND AVOIDING SUN EXPOSURE FOR AT LEAST 48 HOURS BEFORE AND AFTER YOUR WAX.

Hair needs to be at least ¼ inch long for effective waxing, and up to ½ inch long, or about the length of a grain of rice. This ensures that the wax can grab onto the hair and pull out the entire hair follicle. If hair is too short, the wax won’t have a secure hold. This can make waxing more painful, require repeated waxing of the same area, or risk that the hair follicle won’t be fully removed.
- 03
When waxed consistently, hair grows back slower, finer and sparse. Shaving cuts your hair, it doesn’t remove your hair—so the quantity and thickness remain the same. Electrolysis and laser hair removal don’t work for everyone, which makes waxing a fabulous universal alternative.

The beauty of waxing is knowing you’ll be hair-free for a minimum of 1-2 weeks following your wax appointment. The more consistent you are, the longer lasting results.
- 05

WE STRONGLY DISCOURAGE SHAVING BEFORE WAXING! SHAVING BEFORE A WAX CAN IRRITATE THE SKIN AND, OF COURSE, IT WILL LEAVE THE HAIR TOO SHORT TO WAX PROPERLY. YOU SHOULD STOP SHAVING AT LEAST 2 1/2 WEEKS PRIOR TO A WAX.
